CESA NEWS

NATIONAL
The chances of placing the proposal of CR before the Cabinet meeting today is bleak. It is with the Cabinet Secretary and is likely to be placed in the first week of December 2013.
The representation of Shri S.P.Dudeja dated 11.11.2013 , Superintendent Custom, Mumbai is rejected by the Board.
Both the petitioners Shri Dudeja and Shri Kiran Pandit from Excise intent to file review petition in the Supreme Court for implementation of order dated 23.08.2011 shortly.
Dossiers of the officers for filling of vacant post of AC are pending with UPSC and no date has been given for DPC.
LOCAL
Ø  All the officers are requested to insist the Administration to carry out the Service Verification immediately on completion of 25 years of the Service and issue the necessary certificate to that effect and update their Service Books accordingly.
Ø It is learnt that many of the officers do not have the CGHS card or do not have enough information on the benefits available to them through the scheme.  All are requested to remember to complete the formalities and possess the CGHS cards.
Ø It is a reminder to all the officers due for retirement to complete all these formalities well in advance to avoid the inconvenience and depriving of the facilities after the retirement.
Ø CESA Mumbai has already taken up the non issuance of  3rd MACP order.  However, individual officers are requested to represent their case individually before the Cadre Control Authority.
Ø It is learnt that all the POAs of Mumbai have a huge accumulated balance of GPF amount in their suspense account due to transfer of officers from one Commissionerate to another Commissionerate/ one formation to another formation [M & P, LTU etc].   CESA appeal to all its members to kindly identify their inoperative GPF accounts of different Commissionerates where they have worked and reconcile the same to bring it to one account.
