Central Excise & Service Tax Superintendents Association, Mumbai, felicitated Retired Superintendents on 19.01.2013 at NACEN, Bhandup.
The idea of the felicitation was to create a platform for the retired Superintendents so that the Serving and retired officers could meet together, refresh memories, renew their friendship and get in touch. A good gathering of around 120 retired officers with office bearers had a good time at the time of felicitation. The retired officers were sentimental as the contribution in their service throughout their Life and career was recognized and appreciated. Each one of them were given a nicely made memento and shawl as an award of Honour for their excellence in service.
CESA honoured retired Bombay Superintendent Shri. Vasudeo Sakharam Bhadgaonkar, who is now 94 years old. His date of birth is 14.10.1919, joined the Department on 27.08.1942 and retired on 31.10.1977. Now he is receiving full pension and is very fit and healthy. He goes for daily morning and evening walk without using a stick and does not use spectacles to read or hearing aid to hear. His memory is very sharp, he is very jovial and practical person. Throughout his life he maintained honesty and discipline in his life. He is Interested in watching News, Cricket on TV and regular reader of Times of India, is now residing at Mumbai with his two sons and one daughter. All the retired Superintendents saluted the nonagenarian who was honoured with a memento and a shawl and a telephone directory of retired Superintendents was released by him. His presence in the function was a great moment for one and all
