BE BOLD
& FAIR TO ONE & ALL; AND CALL
THE MEETING.
Dear
Comrade,
This is my third mail to you to hold the meeting or give
your convenience so that arrangement can be made, to hold the meeting in Mumbai
or at any other place. However, it is unfortunate that you have not paid any
heed to our requests. On the contrary mails are floated to convince/to
confuse/to mislead/to twist and turn the issue. Not only that much even to
divert the attention from the main issue of parity within CBEC and Regional
imbalances/disparities, by referring various old mails, and blame game started
by scratching the back of local office bearers.
The holding of AEC meeting at Patna, credit of that goes
to Patna Unit, viz Shri Sinhaji, Shri Jhaji and his team. Delegates from all
over India spent substantial amount to attend the meeting. People give due
respect to the Senior office bearers and as colleague to Shri Loknathji and
Shri Pareekji and in their presence meeting was concluded with an assurance
that meeting will be held shortly. When unit is willing to hold the meeting
considering the urgency and gravity of the issue, there is no sign of holding
meeting from your end.
Those who are offering their studied opinion on the said
issue, preferred to remain silent at Patna, but now views/expert opinions are
coming out as if suddenly they are enlightened now. If things are settled by
email/SMS, then there are no reasons to hold meetings and spend hard earned
money of our colleagues in such affairs. All these emails are just like TV
debates appearing in various channels to increase the TRP. If senior comrades
from Shilong and both of you have enough knowledge/authority then why you are
shirking your responsibility and not implementing the decisions taken in the
house to hold the meeting to have consensus of all on the issue.
If the decision of Patna meeting is not binding then how
we can say we are democratic in our functioning. Our Associations/Local units
are not an office of profit or to safeguard the individual’s interest, but an
office to safeguard the interest of the whole cadre and any injustice meted to
the cadre is to be taken up and resolved.
If the Chief Executive himself breaches the trust bordering indiscipline
functioning and disregard to the August house, then what message it will
percolate down and how people will abide by the decision of the Office bearers.
As regard to the Supreme Court’s decision on 11.07.2013
CESA Mumbai, salute to the relentless efforts of Shri K. S. Pandit, in getting
direction from the court. It is really paining that our counterpart i.e.
Superintendent Customs (Preventive) has represented the cadre issue before
Supreme Court and their Association is rallying behind the petitioner, whereas
we are lacking the same gesture with our petitioner.
Dear comrade, if you are not serious to hold the meeting
or give consent to us, within a week’s time on or before 01.08.2013 then we
will be left with no alternative but to take appropriate measures presuming
that the said issue is not of any interest to you. In that eventuality you
should not blame the units for the action taken by them in the said issue, as
if it is a issue pertaining to some units and refrain from interfering in it at
any level and in any manner. Expecting a line of reply in confirmation from
your end.
Thanking you.
Yours
A.K. Sasmal
CESA, Mumbai.
