The DOPT has requested the Cabinet Secretary to fix a date for the meeting of Committee of Secretaries.
News on Cadre Restructuring of CBEC is that the progress on such
issue is being made very slow.. CR proposal of CBEC cleared by
Deptt of Expenditure is still with the section of
DoP&T dealing with COS. The DOPT has requested the Cabinet
Secretary to fix a date for the meeting of Committee of Secretaries, but
Cabinet Secretary is yet to give a date. The Cabinet Secretary is the
Chairman of such committee. Secretary of DOPT/ Revenue/ Expenditure and
Chairman CBEC are members of such committee.
